Warehouse Mezzanines and Platforms

The cheapest square footage you'll ever add is already inside your building.

Before you lease another building or pour another slab, look up. A mezzanine adds storage, production or office space at considerably lower cost than new construction — with minimal interruption to the working floor below. Conveyability engineers the platform, integrates the lifts and conveyor that feed it, and installs the whole thing around your operation.

Free-standing structures that assemble quickly, erector-set style.

Heavy-duty columns engineered to your loads — no forest of braces.

Integrated VRCs, conveyor, stairs, gates and railing from one team.

What a Mezzanine Becomes

The structure is standard. What it does for the operation is the design question.

Storage & distribution

Shelving, rack and carton flow upstairs; picking and shipping below. A VRC or incline conveyor keeps product moving between levels without a forklift ballet.

Production & assembly

Light assembly, kitting and rework over the main line — fed by lifts and conveyor so the new level joins the flow instead of interrupting it.

Offices, crib & enclosures

Supervision offices, tool cribs and secure enclosures above the floor — space the operation needs without giving up a single production aisle.

The material path up and down decides whether it works.

A Platform Is Only Half the Project.

Plenty of mezzanines become dead storage because everything reaches them on a forklift. Conveyability designs the vertical transfer in from the start — VRCs, conveyors, pallet gates and controls — so the new level earns its keep every shift.

Columns, decking, seismic and code — handled.

Engineered for Your Loads, Permitted for Your Building.

Point loads from rack, rolling loads from carts, live loads from people and product: the structure gets engineered to what will actually happen up there, with railing, stairs, landings, swing and sliding gates and the decking type your use calls for.

“We have used Conveyability for several material handling projects in our Mexican manufacturing facility. They have provided excellent onsite installation support. Conveyability was able to accommodate late changes with minimal delays in project timing and minimal additional expense. Conveyability helped us meet our customers production schedule despite the late disruptions to the original design.”

Conveyability: Your First Call Before You Lease More Space.

The answer is usually already inside the building.

One team of top-tier problem solvers.

Start with what failed and what production is experiencing — not just the replacement part.

Speed, responsiveness and lead-time flexibility.

Service has to fit the urgency, shutdown window and reality of the operating plant.

Value engineering inside the real budget.

Repair what is worth repairing, modify what is causing the problem and upgrade only where the system has truly outgrown the old answer.

Custom plans built around the plant you have.

Legacy equipment, multiple manufacturers and incomplete drawings are normal inputs.

No passing the buck when the interfaces get messy.

Mechanical, controls, fabrication, installation and future support stay connected through one team.

Mezzanine FAQs

Loads, code, installation and feeding the new level.

How much does a mezzanine save versus building out?

Typically a fraction of new construction cost per square foot, with no site work and far less disruption — and it’s equipment, which can carry different tax treatment than a building addition.

What ceiling height do we need?

Roughly 14 feet of clear height makes a useful two-level space in most operations. Sprinklers, lighting and what goes above and below set the real number.

How is the load capacity determined?

From what you’ll put up there — rack point loads, rolling equipment, pallet staging or people. The structure is engineered to the use, commonly 125 psf and up.

How does product get up and down?

VRCs, incline conveyor, pallet gates and stairs — designed in from the start so the level joins the material flow instead of depending on a forklift.

Can it be installed while we keep running?

Bolt-together construction goes up quickly and can be phased around production. Most installs happen with the floor below still working.

Can we move or expand it later?

Free-standing mezzanines unbolt, relocate and extend. That flexibility is a real part of their value versus permanent construction.
