Automotive Conveyor Systems and Integration

Hit program timing without the conveyor being the thing that slips.

Automotive work runs on program timing, and the conveyor is on the critical path. Conveyability has designed, fabricated, installed and supported assembly conveyor systems on major OEM bumper programs, and serves the industry at every level — manufacturing, distribution and dealerships. Overhead and floor conveyor come from one source, with 24-hour emergency service behind them.

What Puts a Program Behind

Program work has its own failure modes. Most of them are design decisions, made early.

Engineering changes come late

The part changed after the PO and the launch date didn’t. Designs and schedules get built to absorb changes with minimal delay and minimal added cost.

Takt went up, the line didn’t

A volume increase mid-program exposes every marginal transfer and buffer. Sequencing, accumulation and drive changes usually recover it without a new line.

Carriers and fixtures wear mid-program

Fixtures built for launch volumes fade before end of program. Repair, rebuild and replacement get planned around production instead of against it.

Downtime costs more than the fix

A stopped assembly line bleeds money by the minute. 24-hour emergency service exists because automotive plants can’t wait for Monday.

Why Automotive Plants Call Conveyability

Program timing is the job. The conveyor is how we hit it.

One team of top-tier problem solvers.

Start with what failed and what production is experiencing — not just the replacement part.

Speed, responsiveness and lead-time flexibility.

Service has to fit the urgency, shutdown window and reality of the operating plant.

Value engineering inside the real budget.

Repair what is worth repairing, modify what is causing the problem and upgrade only where the system has truly outgrown the old answer.

Custom plans built around the plant you have.

Legacy equipment, multiple manufacturers and incomplete drawings are normal inputs.

No passing the buck when the interfaces get messy.

Mechanical, controls, fabrication, installation and future support stay connected through one team.

No hard sell, just experts that know their stuff.

Tell us what is failing, what the plant has already tried and how the issue affects production. We’ll help you figure out the most useful next step.

Automotive Conveyor FAQs

Programs, launch timing, late changes and emergency support.

Have you worked on OEM programs before?

Yes. Conveyability has designed, fabricated, installed and supported assembly conveyor systems on major OEM bumper programs, with designs improved program over program.

What happens when engineering changes come late?

They get absorbed. We’ve accommodated late design changes with minimal delay to project timing and minimal added expense — that flexibility is part of how program work has to run.

Can you support plants outside Michigan?

Yes. We’ve provided onsite installation support for automotive supplier facilities as far away as Mexico.

Overhead or floor conveyor — which do you supply?

Both, from one source. Power & free, monorail and floor systems get chosen by the part, the routing and the process, not by what a vendor happens to sell.

Do you offer emergency service?

Yes — 24-hour emergency service, because a down assembly line doesn’t keep business hours.

Can you build the fixtures and custom equipment too?

Yes. Custom-built pallets, carriers and hardware are designed and fabricated in-house alongside the conveyor they ride on.
