Chain Conveyor Systems and Fabrication
Move pallets, drums and weldments without rebuilding the conveyor every year.
Pallets, drums, racks, fixtures, weldments — unit loads with weight, bad bottoms or both. Chain-driven live roller carries the heavy loads with good bottoms; drag chain and multi-strand conveyor carry everything else, including loads that would destroy rollers outright. Conveyability specifies, fabricates, installs and supports all of it as one team.

Three Ways to Move a Heavy Load
The bottom of the load usually picks the conveyor.
CDLR
Chain-driven live roller — rollers driven roller-to-roller by chain, with the muscle for pallets, drums and heavy unit loads that would flatten a lighter line.
Drag chain
The load rides directly on two or more strands of chain. The answer for bad pallet bottoms, containers and racks that rollers can’t carry.
Multi-strand
Three or more strands supporting long, wide or oddly supported loads — fixtures, frames and weldments that need support exactly where the design puts it.
Moving pallets sideways is half the layout problem.
Chain Transfers Make the System.
Heavy unit loads rarely travel in a straight line. Chain transfer decks pop up between rollers to move pallets at right angles — no turning radius, no forklift touch — which is what lets a pallet system fill a floor plan instead of a corridor.
Heavy conveyor lives or dies on the details.
Overbuilt on Purpose.
Chain pitch, roller gauge, frame sections, floor anchoring — heavy-duty conveyor is a structural design problem, and undersizing any of it shows up as bent frames and stretched chain within a year. Conveyability sizes to the real load with headroom, and fabricates the frames and supports in-house.

Conveyability: Your First Call When the Forklift Is the Conveyor.
Every pallet a truck carries across the plant is a trip a conveyor could own.
One team of top-tier problem solvers.
Start with what failed and what production is experiencing — not just the replacement part.
Speed, responsiveness and lead-time flexibility.
Service has to fit the urgency, shutdown window and reality of the operating plant.
Value engineering inside the real budget.
Repair what is worth repairing, modify what is causing the problem and upgrade only where the system has truly outgrown the old answer.
Custom plans built around the plant you have.
Legacy equipment, multiple manufacturers and incomplete drawings are normal inputs.
No passing the buck when the interfaces get messy.
Mechanical, controls, fabrication, installation and future support stay connected through one team.

Chain Conveyor FAQs
CDLR vs drag chain, capacities, transfers and environments.
CDLR or drag chain — which do we need?
Look at the bottom of the load. Good, flat pallet bottoms run well on chain-driven live roller; broken boards, containers and racks belong on drag chain.
How much weight can these systems carry?
Frames, chain and drives are sized to the load — pallets, drums and fixtures across a wide range. Tell us the real weights, including the heaviest exception, and we specify to that.
Can pallets change direction without a forklift?
Yes. Chain transfers and pop-up sections move loads at right angles between conveyor runs — that’s standard pallet-system design.
Will chain conveyor survive a dirty environment?
It’s the usual choice for one. Chain systems tolerate debris, heat and abuse that stop other conveyor types; lubrication and guarding get specified to the environment.
Can you connect to our existing pallet line?
Usually, yes. Matching heights, speeds and controls to an installed system is normal integration work.
Do you build custom multi-strand conveyors?
Yes — multi-strand and double strand chain conveyors for fixtures and odd loads are a regular product of our fabrication shop.
