Chemical Processing Conveyors and Plant Systems

Move pellets, powders and drums on equipment rated for what they do to steel.

Chemical and processing plants punish equipment — corrosive product, aggressive cleaning, dust that finds every bearing. Conveyability builds systems to convey everything from pellets to powders to liquids, selecting the materials to withstand the conditions and designing every line to be cleaned, maintained and inspected instead of worked around.

Frame, belt and component materials selected for the chemistry they’ll live in.

Built to be cleaned, maintained and inspected — not worked around.

Common Problems on Chemical and Processing Lines

Most of these are material-selection and access problems wearing a maintenance costume.

Corrosion eats the equipment

Frames, fasteners and bearing housings that were never rated for the product or the cleaning chemistry fail early. Specifying it right the first time costs less than replacing it on a cycle.

Dust gets into everything

Powders migrate into bearings, motors and enclosures. Sealing, component ratings and cleanable geometry get chosen for the dust that will actually be there.

Cleaning takes longer than running

Areas the crew can’t reach take longer to clean and are harder to verify. Open frames, drainage and access get designed in from the start.

One line, many products

Changeover between products risks carryover and eats the shift. Tool-free guides, cleanable transfers and controls recipes cut both.

“We have used Conveyability for several material handling projects in our Mexican manufacturing facility.”

“We have used Conveyability for several material handling projects in our Mexican manufacturing facility. They have provided excellent onsite installation support. Conveyability was able to accommodate late changes with minimal delays in project timing and minimal additional expense. Conveyability helped us meet our customers production schedule despite the late disruptions to the original design.”

Why Chemical Plants Call Conveyability

The product attacks the equipment. Specifying for that is the job.

One team of top-tier problem solvers.

Start with what failed and what production is experiencing — not just the replacement part.

Speed, responsiveness and lead-time flexibility.

Service has to fit the urgency, shutdown window and reality of the operating plant.

Value engineering inside the real budget.

Repair what is worth repairing, modify what is causing the problem and upgrade only where the system has truly outgrown the old answer.

Custom plans built around the plant you have.

Legacy equipment, multiple manufacturers and incomplete drawings are normal inputs.

No passing the buck when the interfaces get messy.

Mechanical, controls, fabrication, installation and future support stay connected through one team.

Need to Get In Touch Now? Give Us a Call.

No hard sell, just experts that know their stuff.

Tell us what is failing, what the plant has already tried and how the issue affects production. We’ll help you figure out the most useful next step.

Chemical & Processing Conveyor FAQs

Materials, cleaning, FDA-driven work and where food fits.

Can you convey powders, pellets and liquids?

Yes — that range is the point. The product’s behavior and its chemistry drive the conveyor type, the materials and the containment.

How do you choose the materials?

Against the product, the cleaning process and the environment together. Stainless, coatings and component ratings go where the exposure is, not everywhere by default.

Do your food and chemical grade conveyors meet FDA requirements?

Food and chemical grade conveyors are designed to move product safely while meeting FDA requirements and your own specification — tell us what your process demands and we’ll design to it.

Can existing equipment be made easier to clean?

Often, yes. Access, drainage and guard redesign on the worst sections usually pays back faster than replacing the line.

What about controls in dusty or washdown areas?

Enclosure ratings, sensor selection and wiring practice for rated environments are part of the same scope as the mechanical work.

Is food and beverage work handled here too?

The washdown and sanitary side has its own dedicated page — see Food & Beverage under Industries. Plants that run both get one team across both.
