How do we know if we’re ready for automation?
Look at where labor hours and errors concentrate. If picking, sorting or packing eats hours every shift, there’s probably a project — the movement data will confirm it.
What data do you need?
Whatever exists — order profiles, movement reports, inventory dates. Gaps get estimated together, and simulation tests the design before anyone buys equipment.
Do we need full automation to see a difference?
No. A pick module, one sortation loop or better accumulation often moves the number first. Computer-controlled systems earn their way in where volume justifies them.
Can automation go into our existing building?
Usually. Most systems get designed around installed rack, docks and columns, and phased in while the operation keeps shipping.
What about the software and tracking side?
Controls, scanning and RFID shipping systems are part of the same scope, so the physical system and the data about it agree.
How do projects usually start?
